The subject of the ascension of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has always been of interest in the history of Islamic culture, art and civilization, and the illustration of this religious belief during different ages was done according to the taste of patrons, kings and painters and based on the mystical ideas of that time. This has caused a distinction between the depiction of fixed visual elements in the illustrated versions of the Ascension books such as (Prophet, Baraq, Angels, Gabriel, etc.). One of the most important and valuable illustrated versions of the Ascension of the Prophet (PBUH) in the Timurid period is Ibn Hossam Khusfi's book and in the Safavid period Khumsa Tahmasabi attributed to Sultan Muhammad (PBUH). These two images were illustrated based on the influence of religion and mysticism and the government conditions of their time, therefore, while having commonalities in their visual components, they also have differences. Therefore, the main goal of the current research is to study the comparative elements of the ascension of the Prophet (pbuh) in Khavaran-nameh of Ibn-Hossam Khosfi and Khamsa Tahmasbi and to discover their commonalities and differences. Therefore, the main question raised is: What are the aspects of differentiation and commonality of visualization and iconography in the pictorial narration of the ascension of the Prophet (PBUH) in Khavaran-nameh of Ibn-Hossam Khusfi and Khamsa Tahmasbi? In this way, the research method is descriptive-analytical in terms of its nature and implementation method with a comparative approach and fundamental in terms of its goal. The method of collecting information was done in a documentary and library way. After studying each of the pictures and checking and matching their visual components, the conclusion was reached that; Image components in Khavarannameh, such as sculpting, color variation, and figure design, are weaker than Tahmasabi Khamsa. Also, on the other hand, the existence of religious tendencies and strict prejudices in the course of sectarianism in the Safavid era has led to the creation of differences in some image components such as the face of the Prophet (PBUH). So that there was no cover on the Prophet's face in Khavaran-nameh and the details of his face are clearly visible, but the face of the Prophet (pbuh) is not visible in Khamsa Tahmasbi and it is covered by white light.
