Before the invention of scripts, record of thoughts,
experience and imagination and sending it to the furthest
points in which man did not exist at all was deemed as
a wish. After the invention of scripts, man reached a
small part of his wish but did not stop at all. He, through cinematic and
TV programs, changed the written texts into the pictorial passages. Art of
animation-the offspring of its previous arts-emerged about 50 years ago in
Iran. From the very beginning, the need to create better characters which
fitted the intellectual system, beliefs and traditions of our people was felt.
Fantasy and fictional literature, along with its imaginary characterization and
the scope of imaginary arts, also provided a proper background for the creation
and emergence of ever-lasting animation characters in the Iranian animation
school. This article attempts, by classifying various fantasy characters, to
create new characters in the field of Iranian animation.
