Iranian have been the second country
that have got the technique of paper and
board making and they completely have
acquainted the techniques of leather
getting. With attention to genius of artistic
and the Iranian past staying experience
on innovation and execution of the new
artistic designs in long of book binding art
history of world, - after the China- they have been postillion of other countries
and not only have influenced on book binding of Islamic civilization area, but
also have influenced a lot on Europe art of book binding and book making from
sixteenth until seventeenth century. But after the seventeenth century, little by little
specialties of Europe book making and book binding have got out from modes
eastern- especially Iranian-Islamic- and has appeared on basis of the needs and
methods of themselves.
In this research in addition to the study of Europe book making history through
ancient and new books, influence of Iranian-Islamic book binding on the history of
Europe book making have studied and analyzed in the from of tree chapter: start
in sixteenth century, communication on other area of Europe and gradual decrease
of the influence.
