According to the Public Relations Office of Shahed University, three of the university’s scientific journals have been successfully indexed in the international citation and indexing database DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals). The journals include Clinical and Personality Psychology, Scientometrics Research Journal, and Negareh.
It is worth mentioning that indexing in DOAJ is considered one of the essential criteria for entering the evaluation process leading to inclusion in globally recognized scientific databases such as Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and others. Moreover, due to the emphasis by the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology on indexing in reputable international databases, the inclusion of these three Shahed University journals in DOAJ marks a significant achievement.
For researchers’ information, DOAJ is an international indexing platform for open‑access journals, offering free and unrestricted access to full‑text articles. The database regularly updates its indexed content—journals that cease publication are removed—to ensure users can access up‑to‑date, active open‑access journals. Essentially, DOAJ— recognized as the world’s most authoritative and well‑known directory of open‑access journals— serves as a community‑driven online repository offering peer‑reviewed, high‑quality open‑access articles across all scientific and research disciplines. More than 17,500 journals from 130 countries, published in over 80 languages, are currently indexed in DOAJ, covering nearly all scientific fields.
