Professor Gholamali Hatam, a distinguished scholar of art history, passed away at the age of 81 after a period of illness.
The late Dr. Hatam was a retired faculty member of the University of Art and a respected member of the Editorial Board of Negareh Journal. In addition to his outstanding academic career, he also served on the editorial boards of several other scholarly journals, including Soreh, Roud, Performing Arts, and Rahpooyeh.
Since the first publication of the Negareh Journal in 2005, Dr. Hatam contributed remarkably as a dedicated member of its editorial board, playing a key role in advancing the journal’s academic standards and reputation.
He was also a member of the Promotion Committee of the Faculty of Art, as well as the Specialized Council for Advanced Art Studies, and acted as a referee for numerous master’s and doctoral dissertations.
The Negareh Journal expresses its deepest condolences on the loss of this respected scholar and prays for divine mercy and forgiveness for the departed and patience and solace for his family, colleagues, and the many students he inspired.
