Abstract

There is a manuscript of Haft awrang writen by Jami in Washington Freer Gallery which includes seven poems. One of them is called Joseph and Zuleikha from which six episode has already been imaged. Considering the variety of the poem building images , identifying and categorizing the images seemed to be necessary to be used by future interested researchers .This study has been conducted to identify and introduce different graphic designs of Joseph and Zuleikha poem from Jami Haft awrang, which is in Washington Freer Gallery, over the buildings in Mashhad school. These graphic designs are investigated on the basis of harmony and relation in their placement in a general view of how they were imaged over the buildings. Finally the results will be described in detail. The study will response to the following questions:
How and in what order of placement the architectural graphic designs of Joseph and Zuleikha poem from Jami Haft awrang in Mashhad school were formed?
What made these motif so coordinated?
The study methodology is descriptive- interpretive and the information was gathered through library studies. It concluded that the artists put realistic abstract motifs next to each other and repeated to decorate the architectures. In spite their different size; these motifs were put together using the colors in a way that they look completely coherent and harmonic.
